O Meu EspiÃo.e. This is basically Black Widows backstory. I saw this movie with my 4 daughters and we all Loved it! We are not professional movie reviewers or anything like that but absolutely enjoyed all the different emotions in this movie, it was Charming, Comical, Witty, Action Packed, Heart Warming, Suspenseful, and more! We also loved the relationship between David Batista & Chloe Coleman. just Precious, and their performances charming! There was some violence and language but nothing bloody or disgusting.

O meu ex e um espiao. This is a legendary movie, really. Im sure about this film. My Spy is a ridiculously clueless film - it essentially has no idea what it wants to be. One thing it is for sure is that it's incredibly boring, cringe and unfunny, with forced charm and emotion. The film's story completely deviates from a coming-of-age story to an action film. The dialogue and performances were god awful and nothing about the underdeveloped characters made you engaged.
Please remember this is my opinion, others may have felt different

While not one of my favourite Federico Fellini films, this is one of his best early films, almost as good with Il Bidone and on par on I Vitelloni. As ever with Fellini it is beautifully filmed with a touch of quaintness, and his direction is restrained compared to his later films and with a mischievous touch of comedy and fantasy. Nino Rota's score is rousing and cheerful, almost like being at a carnival, while the writing is funny and moving- one of the most beautiful lines of any of Fellini's movies is "Our real lives are in our dreams, but sometimes dreams are a fatal abyss" and the story is comically precise and sympathetic. The characters are engaging, again while not as identifiable as La Strada and Nights of Cabiria they are not detached as Casanova and Satyricon. Alberto Sordi's performance is top drawer as the dissolute titular character, while Leopoldo Trieste is arresting in his comic timing and Brunella Bovo is wonderfully innocent and entrancing. Giulietta Masina would go on to do even better performances like in Nights of Cabiria but she is still terrific. Overall, a great Fellini film. 9/10 Bethany Cox.

Arrivati in mattinata dal paese e sistemati in albergo, Wanda, col pretesto di fare il bagno, si allontana di nascosto verso la casa di produzione del fotoromanzo. Lì viene ricevuta dalla soggettista, che le dà indicazioni su come seguire la compagnia per le imminenti riprese, effettuate sul litorale romano: senza pensarci troppo e rimuovendo completamente l'idea delle visite programmate dal marito, Wanda accetta e segue il gruppo. Sul posto incontra finalmente l'attore Fernando Rivoli, interprete dello "sceicco", che accetta di buon grado di conoscerla e le propone addirittura una piccola parte: in realtà l'uomo è abituato a trattare con le sue numerose ammiratrici, e sfrutta occasioni simili per avere delle brevi avventure con loro. In breve Fernando propone a Wanda una gita in barca e si allontana con lei dalla riva, ma la donna, pur infatuatissima, è troppo ligia ai suoi principi per concedersi. Anche il mito dello "sceicco" del resto crolla bruscamente quando Wanda scopre che Fernando è sposato, e al ritorno sul luogo delle riprese assiste a una scenata di gelosia fra lui e la moglie, giunta nel frattempo. È quasi il tramonto, e la compagnia abbandona il litorale lasciando sola Wanda. L'indomani in albergo per Ivan si ripresenta il problema di giustificare l'assenza della moglie di fronte ai parenti, anzi è reso più grave dal fatto che lo zio è riuscito a rinviare l'udienza papale, ma si aspetta finalmente di conoscere la nipote acquisita; in precedenza questa, in preda a sensi di colpa, aveva ingenuamente tentato il suicidio gettandosi nel Tevere, con il solo effetto di cadere su un punto più basso dell'argine, e, notata da un "fiumarolo", aveva passato la notte in ospedale. Writer-director Xiaolu Xue’s entertaining Chinese-Australian co-production The Whistleblower (2019) is at heart a good old-fashioned epic chase conspiracy thriller, with some modern trimmings – OMG, way, way too much CGI! The CGI is no doubt needed to make Xiaolu Xue’s film seem ‘modern’, but it actually erodes the excitement and credibility of what are some very good action and chase sequences, with some great stunts, road driving and car smashes. Try to keep it a bit ‘real’ please! Never mind, and never mind that the story and incidents defy all credibility, increasingly as the movie moves along. It is easy to suspend disbelief and enjoy The Whistleblower for what it is, an escaping entertainment with an undercurrent of social awareness: the horrors of international big business, industry’s threat to the environment, the dangers of working abroad, corporate ignorance, human greed, etc. It is set in Melbourne, where Mark (Jiayin Lei) is a Chinese expatriate working for a mining company in Australia discovers that new technology developed by his company may be a health risk, and investigates a web of conspiracies. A married man, he nevertheless hitches up for the night with Zhou Siliang (Wei Tang), who oversleeps, misses her plane and survives the aircraft’s crash with all aboard. Nobody, except her dodgy husband, knows she’s alive, but she contacts Mark and the two of them set out to find the truth. Mark’s work predecessor Peter (Ce Wang) turns up dead, and a mysterious guy called Tom Baker (Brett Cousins) is dead too, and of course the bad guys want Mark and Zhou dead too, so they have to run for their lives. Unfortunately, soon Mark’s wife Judy (Xi Qi) finds out about Zhou, and Mark has got to contend with her, as well as his dodgy boss Harrison (John Batchelor). The plot then thickens and thickens. There sure is plenty of plot to fill the 135 minute running time. You could say it is over-plotted, convoluted, tricky to follow and not without the genre’s clichés I’d just say it is involved and involving. And I don’t think Hitchcock would have minded it too very much. It has a North by Northwest sort of vibe. The production looks expensive, both slick and smart, filming on unusual locations. Indeed it is the largest foreign production to be filmed in Victoria, Australia, since Steven Spielberg’s The Pacific (2010), and the biggest Australian-Chinese co-production in Victoria. Jiayin Lei makes an unlikely hero, edging into comfy middle-age, but that’s what makes him effective. Wei Tang is very alluring as a femme fatale, and that’s what makes her effective. Xi Qi is suitably wifely and John Batchelor suitably oily. Though the film doesn’t have much youth appeal, I’m going to go for ‘pretty good movie’.
